​​Sabahat Zakariya is a writer, cultural critic and creator of iconoclastic videos. Her celebrated multimedia platform, TheUstani (formerly Feminustani), has carved a new genre in the South Asian cultural space by excavating Pakistani popular culture for feminist, historical and social critique. 
 
Her videos and writings have appeared on BBC Urdu, Dawn, The News, Express Tribune, The Friday Times, The Nation, Firstpost, Voice of America, and Bedford and Bowery.
 
She has reported for UNICEF on measles vaccination campaigns in Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunwa, Punjab and Sindh, and has exposed malpractices in Pakistan’s coal mining industry, higher education, elections, and the unregulated beauty industry through her journalistic work.
